This Website Privacy Notice (“Notice”) describes how BreezePoint Bookkeeping (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) collects, uses, retains, and discloses information when you use our public website and blog (the “Site”). This Notice applies only to information collected through the Site. It does not apply to data collected in connection with our client services, engagement letter, or any client portal, which are governed by a separate privacy policy. For California residents, please review the “California Privacy Notice” section included below.

1) Information We Collect on the Site

When you use the Site, submit a contact form, complete a signup or inquiry form, post a blog comment, or communicate with us in response to a contact form, we may collect identifiers such as your name, email address, and phone number. For signup or inquiry specifically, we may collect state of business registration, legal business name, owner first and last name, owner date of birth, business website URL, and business legal entity. We also collect internet or other electronic network activity information such as pages viewed, time on page, clicks, scrolls, navigation, and referrer URL, as well as approximate geolocation derived from IP address. We collect device and technical information such as IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, and language settings. If you post comments on the blog, we collect the content you submit and any display name and optional website URL you provide. We do not collect biometric data and we do not collect precise geolocation through the Site.

2) Sources of Information

We collect information directly from you through forms, comments, and email correspondence initiated from the Site. We also collect information automatically from your device and browser through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity, and the Facebook/Meta Pixel. Our service providers operating on our behalf—such as hosting, anti-spam, comment platforms, and email delivery—may process information for us.

3) How We Use Information (Website)

We use website-collected data to operate, secure, and improve the Site and blog; to measure marketing performance; to respond to messages and inquiries; to schedule consultations and prepare proposals; to administer comments and anti-spam; to perform troubleshooting and diagnostics; and to comply with law and enforce our terms.

4) Cookies, Analytics, and Advertising Pixels

We use cookies, analytics, and advertising pixels to understand general visitor behavior and to measure marketing performance. These tools may automatically collect technical data such as browser type, device type, IP address, approximate geolocation, and interaction data such as clicks, scrolls, and navigation. You can manage cookie settings in your browser. Some Site features may not function properly if cookies are disabled. Because there is no common standard for browser “Do Not Track” (DNT) signals, the Site may not respond to all DNT signals; please use your browser controls, our cookie preferences, and the opt-out options described in this Notice. Where required by law, such as in the European Union or the United Kingdom, we will obtain your consent before setting non-essential cookies, including analytics and advertising cookies. You can manage your preferences at any time via the Cookie Settings link in our footer.

5) Promotions and Email Marketing (Website)

If you opt in to marketing emails on the Site, we may send promotional communications. Marketing emails include our sender information and a physical mailing address and always provide an unsubscribe option. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link in the email or by contacting us at admin@breezepointbookkeeping.com.

6) Blog Comments and Anti-Spam

When you submit a comment, we collect the comment content you provide along with the name you choose to display and any optional website URL. For security and spam prevention, we may process IP address and browser user-agent information. Approved comments, your display name, and any website URL you provide may be visible to the public on the Site.

7) Email Communications Following Contact Form

If you submit a contact form, we may follow up by email to respond to your inquiry and continue the conversation. We use the information you provide to address your request and maintain the correspondence as part of our records for customer service, security, and legal compliance.

8) Disclosures of Information

We disclose website personal information to service providers and processors for hosting and content delivery, analytics, anti-spam, comment platforms, email delivery, and advertising platforms that support pixels. We may disclose information to a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale or transfer of some or all of our assets. We may disclose information to comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including responding to any government or regulatory request. We may also disclose information to enforce or apply our Site Terms of Use or an Engagement Agreement and other agreements, including for billing and collection purposes, and if we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of our organization, our clients, or others.

9) “Sale,” “Sharing,” and Targeted Advertising

We do not sell personal information for money. Our use of advertising pixels and certain analytics may be considered sharing personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under some state laws. You may request to opt out of such processing by emailing admin@breezepointbookkeeping.com. Where required by law, we make reasonable efforts to honor browser-based opt-out signals such as Global Privacy Control. If you are a California resident and our processing constitutes “selling” or “sharing” personal information under the CPRA, you may exercise your right to opt out by using the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in our site footer or by contacting us at admin@breezepointbookkeeping.com. We also make reasonable efforts to honor browser-based opt-out signals, such as Global Privacy Control, as required by California law. We retain website personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Notice or as otherwise required by law, including operating and securing the Site and blog, responding to inquiries, administering comments, recordkeeping, and legal compliance. When retention is no longer necessary, we delete, de-identify, or aggregate the data.

12) Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, physical, and technical measures designed to protect personal information against accidental loss and unauthorized access, use, alteration, and disclosure.                                                         California Privacy Notice

This California Privacy Notice (“Notice”) supplements the Website Privacy Notice of BreezePoint Bookkeeping (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). It applies only to California residents and only to information collected through our public website and blog (the “Site”). It does not apply to data collected in connection with our client services or any client portal, which are governed by a separate privacy policy.

1) Categories of Personal Information We Collect (Website)

In the last 12 months, when you use our Site, contact form, signup/inquiry form, or blog comments, we may collect the following categories of personal information as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA: identifiers such as name, email address, and phone number; for signup/inquiry specifically, state of business registration, legal business name, owner first and last name, owner date of birth, and business website URL; internet or other electronic network activity information such as pages viewed, time on page, clicks, scrolls, navigation, and referrer URL via analytics and pixels; approximate geolocation derived from IP address (not precise); device and technical information such as IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, and language settings; and user-generated content such as blog comments, display name, and any optional website URL you provide in connection with comments. We do not collect Sensitive Personal Information (SPI) via the Site as defined by CPRA, including Social Security numbers, driver’s license numbers, precise geolocation, financial account credentials, racial or ethnic origin, union membership, genetic or biometric data, or mail and email content where we are not the intended recipient.

2) Sources of Personal Information

We collect personal information directly from you through the contact form, signup or inquiry form, blog comments, and email correspondence in response to your contact form. We also collect information automatically from your device and browser via cookies, pixels, and similar technologies, including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Microsoft Clarity, and the Facebook/Meta Pixel. In addition, our service providers operating on our behalf, such as hosting, anti-spam, comment platforms, and email delivery providers, may process personal information for us.

5) “Sale” and “Sharing” (Cross-Context Behavioral Advertising)
